The Heat is On

I'm currently getting my ass kicked. Both by my emotions and by the temperature.

It's very hot in my little office, even with the A/C on.

I think I should take a break from editing soon.

Emotionally, yes, I am getting beat up pretty bad.  I'm currently working the new Kickstarter campaign, and that means a new Kickstarter video. This one pretty much updates everything that's been going on since March.  Including those tragic events.  Which means talking about my brother.

I feel like I need to do it. I haven't really talked to anyone about my brother besides my wife. And in a way this is sort of therapy for me. Like somehow making this video will help heal me somehow.

But right now, I think I'm going to pass out. Yes the heat, but I also think I'm just emotionally drained.

Production wise, we've got major shooting to do in July into August, we've got fight scenes and fx work at the end of June. Other than that, the Kickstarter campaign is the only thing I've really worked on, the rest of my time is dedicated to that day job, editing video for other folks, but hey, I can't complain.

Alright, I'm going to drink something and possibly lay down in front of the air vent.

Much, Much more to come.

OH and check out the new concept art by Kelley Kombrinck on the official site. Click the CONCEPT ART tab at http://reddmovie.com, if you're not already there.

More later.

Feel The Heat

Who's bright idea was it to shoot this thing in the summer time?

Oh right, It was mine.

It's hot alright, one of the many perks of shooting this movie outdoors. And boy do I feel bad for our Heroine. April Crum has to spend most of the time wearing that thick red cape and hood.  Yes I'm doing this to torture her. But that's how I show my love.

The heat is starting to turn up production wise. Many more shoots to go.  A few obstacles to overcome, but there's nothing a bit of hard work and ingenuity can't get us through.

For those that didn't know, my brother Robert passed away last week. That has definitely added to the anxiety of production.  More specifics about all that on my personal blog HERE.

Thanks to those of you who have messaged me with condolences. I appreciate it greatly.

I promised him I'd finish this for him, and so I go to do so.  I think he would've really liked this one.

Believe it or not there is still a bit of casting to go through. But right now we're concentrating on our principals. Still a few supporting parts to cast and shoot, but we're gonna get there.  Our production timeline is moving along exactly on track. I'm so anxious to get this out to you all to see this.

In the meantime, feel free to continually check out this site for updates.  A production vlog will be coming up soon.

While you're at it, check out the newly re-designed site for our series MONSTER COPS.
